Saljän is a body in which humans and other organisms live as parasites in a symbiotic relationship. S(he) is a moving land that feeds on the life that inhabits him/her. The Earth is the true authority there—but the Earth is Saljän itself.
His/her greatest pleasure is eating humans, as the wars that followed drove him/her into madness. With every conflict and every death on Earth, Saljän’s beauty grows, as does his beard. This hunger for humans provokes a gender tension, and Saljän becomes increasingly ambiguous and misleading.
A few years ago, this hunger intensified dramatically, and Saljän began to consume humans relentlessly. The tribes living on his/her surface gathered for a meeting, alarmed by their imminent extinction and by the fact that Saljän had devoured their leader, Cärnsegh.
Cärnsegh was a peaceful figure who always encouraged mutual care, and his death ignited the collective anger of the tribes.
Saljän was suffering from contamination—chemical alterations of his skin—and began to change the climate, accelerating his movement across the universe. Moving faster and faster, Saljän generated excessive energy, attracting other celestial bodies. He/she grew larger and larger until, finally, Saljän exploded.

Saljän es un cuerpo en el que los seres humanos y otros organismos parasitan de forma simbiótica. Él/Ella es un territorio móvil que se alimenta de la vida que habita en su interior. La Tierra es la verdadera autoridad allí, pero la Tierra es Saljän.
Su mayor placer es devorar humanos, ya que las guerras posteriores lo/la llevaron a la locura. Cuanta más muerte y más conflicto hay en la Tierra, mayor es su belleza, y también crece su barba. Este apetito humano provoca una tensión de género y Saljän se vuelve cada vez más ambiguo/a y confuso/a.
Hace algunos años, su hambre aumentó de forma desmedida y comenzó a devorar humanos sin descanso. Las tribus que vivían sobre su superficie se reunieron, alarmadas por su posible extinción y por la muerte de su líder, Cärnsegh, devorado por Saljän.
Cärnsegh era una figura pacífica, que siempre fomentaba el cuidado mutuo, y su muerte encendió la ira colectiva de las tribus.
Saljän sufría contaminación, alteraciones químicas en su piel, y comenzó a modificar el clima y a desplazarse cada vez más rápido por el universo. Al acelerar sin control, generó una energía excesiva que atrajo otros cuerpos celestes. Saljän creció y creció hasta que, finalmente, explotó.
