MaigueiMaiguei is the fisical materialization of a 9.5 hours performance.(design) Maiguei is the result to wondering which are the ways, process or metodologies for create a design project.(content) It borns with an active reflexion of thinking about what is territorial identity. Nowadays, more than a years ago, the catalan sentiment has more public connotations, each Catalan's day (11th september) the country organized a public massive event. I wanted to do my particular reflexion about Catalonia, the relation between my an the earth, the region, the land... so I decided to walk during nine hours and half in the arounds, the immediated mountains and also in the city alone, because I want to do it by myself, without the others politics decisions. I wanted to create a relation between my an the land.(material) I started to walk at 10:00 a.m. and I took a photo each quarter. This photos will be usefull for make some postcards. Between each quarter I took more photos, they will be usefull for created a serie of posters. I did not know how many time it will takes me.(result) This compilation assembles 50 postcards and 49 posters. (spanish interview here)For the posters I used:MetaPro, Modern 20, Baskerville & Gotham Black.Colors based in photography.Shapes created through the photos. There was a process with exhaustion, fatigue, the same scenario that change it time that create a new poster, aspects that we can extrapolated to the catalan future.I did the performance in my city, Terrassa. It is a surrounding Barcelona's city. I started it in the stream, a seminatural semibuilding item, for arrive to the mountain, the clear nature. In the way back I across the city refusing any natural part of the city. The photography has got an objective threatment, showing a neutral point of view focus in the way "the future of catalan nation" and an open diafragma. I think that photography is a fiction wherewith we lie ourselves, so I change the colours simulating old photos, like postcards for transform objectivity in subjectivity. made with Lay Theme
